Prayer request from Uganda
From Debbie Cardinal:
"Sandra, I think it is time to get the prayer warriors to pray for Baby Boone to be born in the next 24 hours...still no signs of him/her coming soon and we have only 2 more weeks to be here to help. My motto is, "We have not because we ask not!" So if you don't mind, let's call for SPECIFIC prayer regarding the baby's birth. Also, Tamara is very tired today and we have taken three walks in the last 2 days to try to get her labor started...NO WORRIES, but it would just be nice. Thanks so much!"

Snow removal!
Many thanks to Equip missionaries, Ron and Mimi Pownall, for bringing their "toy 4-wheeler" and removing the snow from our drive way. Tommy, with his shovel, continues to perfect the necessary places that need snow removal.
And, OOPS! I was confusing to many with the last post! Tommy and I will be leaving for Uganda on February 12. Planning to understand more about this blog by the time we go so that I can stay in touch with you! Be patient, I am still in the "blog learning process"!

Cardinal's in Uganda
Sorry! I missed posting some important information! Bob and Debbie did arrive safely in Uganda - a little later than expected. They spent their first night in a guest house in Entebbe on Friday night and traveled via taxi on to Jinja to meet the children on Saturday. Debbie's post said they were tired but had a great day of worship yesterday and are enjoying Gloria and Evan. The children "warmed up" to them well, just as we had all prayed.
Will update with any news as soon as we receive it. Hopefully, by the time we get a picture of Baby Boone, I will have figured out how to post it on this blog.

Snowy Black Mountain
We are sitting in our living room in front of the fireplace looking at about 6" of new snow with more snow falling! The trees are beautiful but gives us concern about power!
Still no "baby activity" from Uganda. We are all waiting from 8,000 miles away with anticipation. Will update via blog as soon as we hear anything!
Thank you for your love and prayers!

Still no baby Boone!! Will let you know as soon as hear something from Uganda.
Bob and Debbie Cardinal left today for Uganda but not without flight delay. They were delayed in Dullus due to the "suspicious package" that was found in the main terminal. Please pray with us that they don't miss their connecting flight from Belgium. If they should miss this connection, they would be delayed 24 hours in arrival. Getting to Uganda is not easy!

Uganda 2011 Preparation for Mama and Papa Boone
Well, here are the Boone's again and we are preparing to leave February 12, 2011 to meet our (then) three new grandchildren and love on our missionary children. They remain in Jinja, Uganda, serving in Masese III village with the Karamajong people under Equip Uganda.
We are also leaving behind very precious friends, GW and Evelyn Lankford. While we are away, GW will be having treatments for prostate cancer. I can't tell you how this grieves our hearts. We ask you to pray for healing for GW and for Evelyn's health and stamina as they begin this new journey in their life.
The blog was not used in 2009 to keep you updated for "several reasons" and one was a new computer for me and the inability to have internet service when I was able to blog. I have learned the computer this year and hope I can use this blog as my source of communication. Will be trying it out as we start our final preparation!
Many of you know that Jeremy and Tamara are working hard in the Masese III village and a few of their ongoing highlights are the "Way Out Workforce" for women and "Community Health Evangelism" for the village people. About 18-20 women are making the necklaces from recycled paper and selling them as well as attending Bible studies with Tamara. Several of the women have made decisions for Christ and are growing in their walk. Jeremy has just finished a CHE seminar and $9,000 has been raised for the "nets not caskets" project. THANKS TO SO MANY OF YOU for your support! He has more than 10 strong leaders in the Masese community who will begin their part of training the community about malaria and how the nets can help. Actual distribution may possibly start as early as mid February. We are thrilled that we might be there to see this project "kick off"!
Jeremy and Tamara have adopted two beautiful Ugandan children, Gloria who is 4, and Evan Daniel who is 18 months old. Upon their decision to adopt, God blessed them with the desires of their heart and many answered prayers and they are expecting a baby to be born "really at any time" now. Will update you when we get our call! Tamara's parents are leaving tomorrow for a 3 week stay in Uganda. Pray for their health and traveling mercies.
We will be leaving Bryan, Lisa, Brinkley, and Lily behind as we stay almost two months in Uganda. Wish we could take them with us! We learn, as parents, that time with both children and their families together, gets hard as they grow up and prepare to have their own families and respective jobs. Hopefully, we will have some family time with all of the children together in August 2011 when Jeremy's family plans to return for furlough!

Thank you for following our adventure and we need prayers that Tommy's health will remain well and that God will give us a heart for the Ugandan people that we might share "short term" a part of God's love with them! We already KNOW that our lives will be changed as they were in 2009 but we pray that we will see lives changed and they will see Jesus in our lives!
